HOPE Social Values

At HOPE Superjobs, social value and ethical practice are not add-ons; they are fundamental to how we operate, make decisions, and deliver care.

As a CQC-regulated and Ofsted-compliant organisation, we are committed to operating with integrity, accountability, and compassion, while creating positive outcomes for individuals, families, staff, and the wider community. HOPE delivers social value by combining ethical governance, high-quality regulated care, inclusive employment, and strong safeguarding practices, ensuring positive outcomes for service users, staff, and local communities in line with UK public sector priorities.

Ethical, person-centred care is what we care about.

Our Priority is People

We prioritise ethical, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and safety and respect for all service users, particularly vulnerable adults and children. We place people at the heart of everything we do. All our services are designed to ensure that every individual is treated as a person, not a process. Ethical care means listening, adapting, and acting in the best interests of those we support.

Our Safeguarding & Social Responsibility commitments include:

  • Delivering tailored, person-centred support and outcome-focused support plans

  • Maintaining robust safeguarding frameworks and clear escalation procedures

  • Ensuring open communication with families, professionals and commissioners

  • Respect cultural, personal, and individual needs and promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all services

  • Safeguard vulnerable individuals at all times

  • Clear reporting pathways and staff training to ensure safety is never compromised

Beyond compliance, we aim to:

  • Create positive social outcomes

  • Support families through difficult circumstances

  • Contribute to stronger, safer communities

Strengthening Local Communities

Our services are designed to support long-term community wellbeing and resilience. We contribute positively to local communities by:

  • Recruiting locally where possible
  • Supporting workforce development within the care sector
  • Working collaboratively with local authorities, CAFCASS, families and partner agencies
  • Promoting stable, high-quality care provision that reduces service disruption

Work and Housing Support

We have supported two local residents to secure employment and stable housing, helping them build a safe and sustainable foundation for independent living.
By providing practical guidance and signposting to appropriate opportunities, we aim to reduce barriers to work and housing while promoting long-term stability and wellbeing. Supporting individuals to achieve independence is a vital part of our commitment to strengthening local communities and creating meaningful social value.

Supporting Local Suppliers

We support local economies through responsible procurement, sourcing furnishings and household items from local suppliers wherever possible. This approach was used during the refurbishment of our Ilford Contact Centre and the opening of our new Hackney location.

By working with local businesses, we help sustain local jobs, strengthen communities and reduce environmental impact through shorter supply chains.

Fair, Inclusive & Responsible Employment

Our people are essential to delivering ethical care. We value diversity and actively promote an inclusive workplace where individuals from all backgrounds are respected, supported, and empowered to succeed. We invest in our workforce through:

  • Fair and inclusive recruitment practices and equal opportunities
  • Enhanced DBS checks, thorough vetting and background checks
  • Ongoing specialist training and professional development
  • Supporting staff wellbeing, work-life balance, retention and professional development
  • Promote ethical recruitment practices that prioritise quality over volume

Work Experience & Skills Development

We support early careers and skills development by providing structured work experience opportunities for young people within our local community. Currently, we are supporting two students from All Saints School, enabling them to gain practical experience and develop essential skills within the care sector.
This initiative contributes to the UK Social Value Model by:

  • Supporting skills development and employability for young people
  • Providing real-world work experience aligned to professional standards
  • Encouraging progression into further training or employment within the care sector

Through supervised, hands-on learning, the students develop confidence, industry knowledge, and key transferable skills, supporting long-term employment prospects and helping to address workforce sustainability within social care.

Local Recruitment & Community Employment

We actively support local employment by regularly attending job fairs across the UK, including London, Southampton, Bath, Swindon and Nottingham, to recruit staff from the communities we serve.

This approach enables us to:

  • Create accessible employment opportunities for local residents
  • Strengthen community connections through local knowledge and experience
  • Support stable, place-based employment across our UK office locations

By prioritising local recruitment, we help people into meaningful work while ensuring our services benefit from staff who understand local needs, networks, and communities.

Disability Confident & Inclusive Employment

HOPE Superjobs is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, actively promoting fair access to employment and career progression for disabled people and those with long-term health conditions.

We are pleased to welcome Fola, who recently joined the HOPE Superjobs team. Fola’s appointment reflects our commitment to inclusive recruitment and our belief that ability, potential and support, not limitations, should define opportunity. Fola’s inclusion within our workforce demonstrates how our values of fairness, equality and respect are embedded into everyday practice, helping us deliver high-quality care and services through diverse, empowered teams.

At HOPE, we provide appropriate workplace adjustments and a supportive, respectful environment to ensure all team members can contribute fully, develop their skills and progress in their careers without prejudice. We are committed to supporting individuals to enter, remain and succeed in employment, recognising that inclusive workplaces strengthen both people and services.

Equal Opportunities & Flexible Working

At HOPE Superjobs, we are committed to equal opportunities and creating a supportive, inclusive workplace. We recognise that employees may have caring responsibilities, including supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and we take a flexible and understanding approach to working arrangements.
Our HR Supervisor, Dalo, is supported in caring for her autistic child through flexible working hours, including adjusted start and finish times. This ensures that her role remains manageable while enabling her to balance work and family responsibilities effectively.
With the full support of our Managing Director, Marlene, and the wider HOPE team, we promote a culture where flexibility, compassion and fairness are embedded into everyday practice, helping our staff to thrive both professionally and personally.

Apprenticeships & Professional Development

We are proud to support three exceptional students currently undertaking the BA (Hons) Social Work Integrated Degree Apprenticeship in partnership with the University of Derby. This paid, work-based programme combines on-the-job training with academic study, enabling apprentices to develop practical skills while working towards a professional qualification in line with Social Work England standards. The programme allows individuals to earn a salary while gaining real-world experience supporting children, adults and families, without incurring tuition fee debt.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the students will be fully qualified and professionally registered, strengthening both their career prospects and the future of the social care workforce. By supporting degree apprenticeships, we invest in long-term skills development, professional excellence and sustainable workforce growth within the care sector.

Ethical Governance & Responsible Business

Ethical Decision Making

Ethical decision-making underpins all operational and strategic activity. We operate to the highest professional standards, and uphold strong governance and ethical business practices by:

  • Complying fully with CQC, Ofsted and local authority standards across our care services
  • Maintaining transparent policies, procedures and reporting structures
  • Ensuring responsible recruitment and fair treatment of staff, partners and suppliers
  • Embedding continuous monitoring, feedback and service improvement
  • Robust safeguarding, quality assurance, and risk management processes

Delivery & Measurement

Our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, continuous improvement and transparency and accountability in decision-making. We welcome scrutiny because it strengthens trust and improves outcomes. We are committed to continuous improvement and measurable social impact throughout the life of any contract.

Social value delivery is monitored through:

  • Regulatory compliance and inspection outcomes
  • Staff training and retention metrics
  • Service user feedback and quality assurance reviews
  • Ongoing policy review and performance monitoring

Integrity in Recruitment & Partnerships

As a care and recruitment provider, we act responsibly and transparently in all professional relationships. Trust is earned through consistency, reliability, and ethical conduct. We operate with honest, transparent communication and clear expectations, ensuring accountability across all areas of our service delivery. We work in close partnership with local authorities, families, CAFCASS, and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive, person-centred outcomes.
All partners, suppliers, and stakeholders are treated fairly, ethically, and respectfully, reflecting our commitment to responsible governance, collaboration, and long-term value for the communities we serve.

Investing in Young Futures Through Boxing

We are proud to support and sponsor young athletes at the Joe Morris Legacy Boxing Club, a community-centred boxing programme that engages, empowers, and uplifts young people through sport. The club provides a safe, positive space where young people can build confidence, discipline, and resilience, helping them stay focused and make the most of their lives.

Through our sponsorship, we contribute to creating opportunities for training, personal development, and community connection, supporting young people to channel their energy into meaningful goals and life skills that extend far beyond the ring.

Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Ethical practice is an ongoing commitment. We continuously review our services, listen to feedback, and invest in improvement to ensure we deliver safe, high-quality, and socially responsible care.

At HOPE Superjobs, we are committed to doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Our social value is measured not only by what we deliver, but how we deliver it; with integrity, compassion, and respect.
HOPE Superjobs delivers social value by combining ethical governance, high-quality regulated care, inclusive employment, and strong safeguarding practices, ensuring positive outcomes for service users, staff and local communities in line with UK public sector priorities.
